The Miezo Jauqo III-X Signature.

Well known Chicago based bassist Jauqo III-X has been part of the MüB family almost since day one. He is a terrific bass player with a unique voice and approach to the instrument. Explorer of the lower lower end of the bass, Jauqo has given us the Sub-Contra bass, the low C# string and the 15 (5x3) string bass. opening up a whole new world of tonal possibilities. Jauqo and I (Maurizio here) recently set down - some 12,000 km apart - and envisioned a Miezo that would bring out his unmistakable tone and could be more slap friendly. The Jauqo III-X signature is that Miezo.

Woods were chosen for clear, articulate, snappy tone - black walnut, Gabon ebony, quilted maple top. The two in-line split Bartolini p -ups provide single coil clarity while being fully humbucking. Brass ETS/MüB hardware and semi-gloss finish wrap up this beautiful instrument,

"I have a 5 string bass built for me from Maurizio that I received in 2013 so I'm very familiar with the extreme level of quality that goes into his builds and that was one of the main reasons that I decided to get another instrument from Maurizio and therefore the Jauqo III X Miezo signature model in the Miezo series took its roots.

The bass is small but the sound is huge and precise. The wood choices of walnut body and Gabon ebony fingerboard that went into this model did not let us down. Allowing such well refined tonal versatility that is very pleasing to the ear. Chords are rich and single notes can be very precise and punchy. The mids growl stands out but again the tonal variations are vast. The overall quality is super high and I would go on record to say that the quality is right up there with basses costing 4 and 5 times even more. I sincerely feel that Maurizio created a great model in the Miezo series and the Jauqo III X signature model is a bass that many would be proud to hear and play in their own hands".
